The Windsor Public Library is seeking a Public Service Librarian - Archives. This role is responsible for facilitating public access to the Windsor Municipal Archive. The librarian will receive, describe, organize, and maintain the archival collection, utilizing both archival resources and other library collections. The position involves responding to research and reference inquiries, providing advisory and reference services for physical and digital materials, and planning and delivering instruction to patrons on using various resources. The role also includes developing and maintaining the Municipal Archives collection, managing records, and coordinating the conservation and digitization of archival materials. Additionally, the librarian will train and supervise staff and interns, develop community relationships through outreach, promote archive services, plan library programs, and occasionally apply for grants. The position may also involve assuming responsibility for emergency situations, performing circulation functions, securing the archives, and potentially performing fee-based research and billing.
