About The Position

This role is for a Public Sector RFP Specialist/Writer to join Worldpay's Enterprise RFP team. The specialist will be responsible for developing high-quality, compliant proposal responses for federal, state, and local government, utilities, higher education, and other public sector organizations. This involves collaborating with various internal teams like Public Sector Sales, Solutions Consultants, Legal, Risk, Product, and Pricing. The role requires producing professionally written proposals that articulate Worldpay’s value proposition, payment technology capabilities, and differentiators, ensuring alignment with government procurement requirements. The specialist will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage multiple simultaneous RFPs/RFIs under tight deadlines, and build strong internal relationships to ensure accurate and timely proposal outcomes. The Enterprise RFP Team manages RFIs and RFPs for medium to large existing and prospective clients across diverse segments, including a growing public sector portfolio, handling approximately $600 million worth of RFPs annually.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing successful proposals with federal, state, and/or local government entities.
• Professional level of written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences at all organizational levels.
• Deep understanding of public sector procurement processes, RFP/RFI structures, compliance matrices, solicitation scoring methodologies, and mandatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from intake through submission.
• Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate Worldpay’s mission, values, and products into persuasive, tailored public sector proposals.

Nice To Haves

• Strong understanding of public sector solicitation formats and government procurement cycles.
• Familiarity with PCI, data security, fraud prevention, and compliance topics common in public sector evaluations.
• Experience with proposal management software such as Loopio, Responsive, or Qvidian, and Salesforce.
• Experience in the financial services or payments industry.

Responsibilities

• Produce professionally written proposals that clearly articulate Worldpay’s value proposition, payment technology capabilities, and differentiators, ensuring alignment with government procurement requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams from intake to submission, ensuring all stakeholders contribute required material and follow agreed timelines.
• Manage multiple, simultaneous RFPs/RFIs, often under tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the business to drive high-quality, accurate, and timely proposal outcomes.
