Public Sector Field Marketing Senior Specialist

Hack The Box
$100,000 - $120,000Remote

About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to lead Hack The Box’s field marketing strategy for the Public Sector. You will partner closely with the Public Sector Sales team to build integrated marketing programs that create demand, engage priority accounts, accelerate opportunities, and strengthen Hack The Box’s presence across federal, state, local, and education markets. This role goes well beyond event execution. You will develop audience-specific campaigns that address the unique cybersecurity workforce, readiness, and procurement challenges facing government organizations. Using account-based marketing, digital campaigns, content, webinars, executive programs, partner initiatives, and strategic events, you will help turn Public Sector priorities into measurable pipeline and revenue. During your first six months, you will focus on developing the Public Sector marketing strategy, establishing strong alignment with Sales, identifying priority audiences and accounts, launching initial campaigns, and building a consistent measurement framework.

Requirements

  • At least five years of B2B marketing experience, including experience in field marketing, demand generation, account-based marketing, or integrated campaigns.
  • Experience marketing to Public Sector audiences, ideally across federal, state, local, or education markets.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, workforce development, or another complex technology category is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to create integrated campaigns that contribute to pipeline and revenue—not only execute events.
  • Strong understanding of Public Sector audiences, sales cycles, procurement considerations, and partner ecosystems.
  • Experience working closely with Sales teams to identify priorities, select accounts, and develop coordinated account-engagement plans.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation, CRM, ABM, and reporting platforms such as HubSpot.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning, creative thinking, analysis, and hands-on execution.
  • Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs, stakeholders, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and the confidence to lead cross-functional initiatives in a fast-moving global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Public Sector field marketing strategy from planning through execution, measurement, and continuous optimization, across federal, state, local, and education markets.
  • Partner with Public Sector Sales leadership to develop quarterly and annual marketing plans aligned with pipeline, revenue, account priorities, and business objectives.
  • Build integrated, multi-channel campaigns for Public Sector audiences, combining digital programs, content, webinars, executive engagement, ABM, events, and partner initiatives.
  • Develop targeted ABM and account engagement programs for priority agencies, organizations, and strategic opportunities, engaging decision-makers across security, workforce development, procurement, and technical teams.
  • Translate Hack The Box’s value proposition for Public Sector audiences, working closely with Product Marketing and Content to adapt global messaging and campaigns to market-specific needs.
  • Develop pre- and post-event strategies that extend conferences and field activities into broader demand-generation, account engagement, and pipeline acceleration programs.
  • Collaborate with Partner Marketing and Sales to build joint demand-generation programs with channel partners, government contractors, resellers, and relevant technology partners.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for Public Sector thought leadership, customer advocacy, executive engagement, and community-building, while managing the marketing budget and prioritizing investments based on strategic and pipeline impact.
  • Establish and track program KPIs including account engagement, qualified pipeline, opportunity acceleration, and attributed or influenced revenue; provide regular performance insights and use campaign results and sales feedback to continuously optimize the strategy.
