About The Position

The pay for this position starts at $20.50/hour, with additional compensation added for higher education and/or years of relevant experience up to $23.87/hour. This position is located in Paxton, MA. The available schedules for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-4pm $1,000 Sign-on Bonus Additional $250 Bonus if MAP Certified Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health - Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Devereux's Paxton House program serves co-ed youth, ages 4 to 14, on a rapid reintegration care program. With a 1:3 staff to student ratio, the main focus at this program is to identify and treat safety/risk factors, barrier behaviors, and factors that precipitated placement; and facilitate reintegration of the youth to the family or next appropriate placement in the shortest time period possible.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required .
• High School diploma or GED required .
• Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA followed by the schedule: Wednesday-Friday 2pm-10pm, Saturday double
• Must be MAPS certified, or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred .

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision .
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily (ADL) Living Skills.
• Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.
