Requirements

Current residency within the State of Wisconsin required.
High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 10 lbs.; knowledge of security practices and procedures; oral and written communication skills; ability to take prompt and decisive action in an emergency situation; ability to use a computer to write reports; ability to work well under stress; ability to operate a two-way radio; ability to understand and follow both written and oral directions; and ability to work effectively and harmoniously with employees and the general public.

Nice To Haves

Military, Security or Law Enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate Facility Screening Stations - Officers ensure citizens enter though the security stations. All citizens properly must go through a magnetometer and be inspected by the officers. Officers also use handheld metal detectors to ensure citizens are not bringing in any prohibited items inside the facilities.
Contact With Citizens Entering the Facility - Security Officers assist citizens with directions around the facilities as well as the expected behavior inside these facilities.
Building Sweeps - Sweep the building after closing time to ensure all doors to the outside are properly secured and any citizens who no longer have business inside the building are walked out.
Emergency Response - Officers are trained to contact the Sheriff's Office in the event of emergencies including medical emergencies. Officers are trained in CPR.
Use of Equipment, Tools & Materials – Operate computers, two-way radio, X-Ray magnetometer with conveyer belt, and handheld metal detectors.
Other duties as assigned.
