About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Public Safety Officer. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain specific certifications, perform physical duties for a significant portion of the shift, and work a rotating schedule including weekends, holidays, and inclement weather. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a New York State First Responder Certification.
• Ability to stand/walk on post for approximately 80% of assigned tour.
• Ability to lift/carry a minimum weight of twenty (20) pounds.
• Ability to walk up/down numerous flights of stairs.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and in inclement weather.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a college or university setting preferred.
• Familiarity with Clergy Act compliance and Title IX responsibilities.
