About The Position

Milwaukee Public Museum is looking for one (1) Public Safety Officer to work a full time, rotating, 40-hour work week. In this role you will primarily be on 1st shift, and we estimate between 10-20%, or 3-5 days of the month, will be spent covering either 2nd or 3rd shift. The Museum requires the Security Department to be manned on a 24 hour, 365 days per year basis.

Nice To Haves

1 year previous security experience.
Prior DAAT training or similar de-escalation and self-defense training.
CPR, AED, and/or First Aid certification.
Prior experience with Access Control systems like C-Cure or similar systems.

Responsibilities

Safeguard museum collections and ensure the well-being of museum employees and visitors.
Use all 5 senses to make observations of irregularities and document them in written reports.
Patrol, on foot, the over 400,000 square foot building.
Monitor 200 cameras in the dispatch office and serve as a resource for multiple departments via radio communication.
