About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Public Safety Officer.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a New York State First Responder Certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a college or university setting preferred.
- Familiarity with Clery Act compliance and Title IX responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Stand/walk on post for approximately 80% of assigned tour.
- Lift/carry a minimum weight of twenty (20) pounds.
- Walk up/down numerous flights of stairs.
- Work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and in inclement weather.
- Remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
