Provides high-profile, uniformed public safety and security services to supplement and assist full-time Public Safety Staff. Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
High degree of reliability.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to relate well to students, faculty, and a diverse community.
Must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license and a good driving history.
Must be able to pass an extensive background check.

Nice To Haves

CPR /AED and Basic First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Crowd Manager, ICS-100, Fire Extinguisher, and CSO training.

Responsibilities

Provide safety and security services at University Chapel by enforcing University Chapel rules and regulations.
Provides basic greeter function for all Chapel visitors/guests.
Acts as a knowledgeable resource to students, staff, and visitors to campus.
Provides general information such as directions and more up-to-date information about campus events and activities.
Additional hours available for events upon completion of CPR /AED and Basic First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Crowd Manager, ICS-100, Fire Extinguisher, and CSO training.
Provide safety and security services at large University events.
Enforces University policies, rules, and regulations.
Assists with traffic and parking operations as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
