The role of a Public Safety Information Officer is to receive non-emergency phone calls, fields walk-in citizen complaints, and communicates with the Dade City Police Officers through designated radio channels on a 24-hour basis, as well as coordinates for the Department of Public Works & Utilities after normal business hours. Shift and weekend work required. Overtime may be required. This is a mission critical position: Essential employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The City Manager makes the determination on who will be required to work in times of emergency.
