The Town of Hopkinton is seeking two full-time Public Safety Dispatchers to join their Public Safety Communications Center. This AAA-rated community is committed to equal opportunity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. The Public Safety Communications Center operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and dispatchers must be available for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Under the general guidance of the Public Safety Communications Director, these dedicated and highly trained professionals provide life-saving medical instructions and accurate public safety information. The role involves receiving and transmitting emergency and administrative messages to law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel according to state-mandated Emergency Medical Dispatch Protocol and department policy. The position requires utmost discretion, independent judgment, initiative, and adherence to mandated state and departmental guidelines and procedures. Public Safety Dispatchers handle and maintain confidential information.
