About The Position
Chevo is seeking an experienced Public Relations Specialist to join their team in the Washington, DC area. This role involves significant client interaction, requiring the specialist to understand the client's business and act as a trusted advisor. The ideal candidate will be versatile in DHS Stakeholder Engagement and Communications. This position offers a hybrid work environment with one day per week client engagement expected at a client site in the Washington DC metro area.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. required
- 10 Years of Experience Supporting the Federal Government
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working on Stakeholder Engagement/Communications Projects a plus
- Previous experience supporting DHS
Responsibilities
- Develop draft content, messaging, and communication products (email, blog, social media, print) supporting Government outreach efforts.
- Prepare draft talking points, presentation materials, and marketing content for public engagements and senior leader briefings.
- Draft media releases, social media toolkits, and fact sheets to support communications activities.
- Create graphic design assets and layouts, applying approved branding standards for consistency.
- Support stakeholder mapping and partnership engagement with other Federal agencies as well as State, Local, Tribal and Territorial (SLTT) partners.
