About The Position

We are looking for an energetic and strategic Public Relations Specialist with a strong background in telecommunications to build and maintain a positive public image for our brand. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, you will bridge public relations with overall marketing strategy - executing earned media campaigns, shaping core brand narratives, managing media inquiries, and driving integrated awareness initiatives across target B2B and telecom markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of dedicated public relations experience (agency or in-house), with at least 2 years focused specifically in the telecommunications, broadband, networking, or tech infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven track record of pitching and securing coverage in key telecommunications and technology trade publications.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and AP Style editing skills, with a demonstrated ability to turn complex technical topics into clear, persuasive stories.
  • Ability to work effectively alongside product marketing, technical subject matter experts, and executive leadership.
  • Familiarity with PR databases and media intelligence tools (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater).
  • Understanding of integrated marketing strategies, including SEO, digital PR, and account-based marketing (ABM).
  • Experience with crisis communications or issues management in telecom or tech environments.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain active relationships with key telecommunications, broadband, tech, and business journalists; draft targeted pitches to secure high-impact earned media coverage in trade and tier-1 publications.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Marketing to align external communications, network product launches, and executive positioning with broader company growth goals.
  • Draft press releases, media kits, white paper summaries, executive Q&As, and briefing documents that translate complex telecom infrastructure concepts into compelling narratives.
  • Serve as the primary frontline contact for media inquiries, vetting opportunities and preparing executives and technical SMEs prior to interviews and panel appearances.
  • Support PR and media engagement surrounding major industry trade shows, product announcements, and executive speaking opportunities.
  • Track media mentions across telecom and technology outlets, monitor industry developments, and report coverage metrics and ROI directly to marketing leadership.
  • Assist marketing leadership in monitoring emerging issues, technical outages, or market shifts to execute swift, aligned crisis responses.

Benefits

  • The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
