Requirements

  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
  • 5–7 years of professional experience in strategic communications, public affairs, public relations, outreach, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience creating visual communications products using tools such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, or similar design platforms.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability; current suitability preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Drupal, web content management, Google Analytics, and Section 508 compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans, campaigns, and outreach initiatives aligned with client priorities.
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate a variety of communications products including talking points, briefings, newsletters, reports, website content, emails, articles, and presentations.
  • Advise senior leaders on messaging, communications strategies, and stakeholder engagement approaches.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and disseminate clear, consistent, and effective communications.
  • Support planning and execution of virtual and in-person meetings, events, webinars, and conferences.
  • Manage communications calendars, taskers, stakeholder distribution lists, and recurring communications processes.
  • Develop visual communications products including infographics, social media graphics, and branded materials.
  • Analyze website and communications performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain and update digital communications platforms, including Drupal-based websites.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts through the development of communication-related standard operating procedures and guidance.
