About The Position
We are an event marketing and fundraising firm that partners with nonprofit organizations to create live campaigns, community events, and public outreach initiatives . We’re currently hiring a Public Relations & Communications Assistant to support in-person communications, public engagement, and event-based messaging . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in public relations, communications, event marketing, and nonprofit fundraising . No prior experience is required — paid training and mentorship are provided . Role Overview As a Public Relations & Communications Assistant, you will support face-to-face communication efforts at live events, community outreach programs, and fundraising campaigns. This role focuses on verbal communication, public interaction, and brand representation — not digital or print media.
Requirements
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with the public
- Interest in public relations, communications, nonprofit work, or event marketing
- Coachable mindset and eagerness to learn
- Team-oriented, reliable, and professional
- 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- No experience required — full paid training provided.
Responsibilities
- Communicate nonprofit missions and campaign messages at live events and community outreach locations
- Support public-facing messaging during fundraising and awareness campaigns
- Assist with event coordination, messaging flow, and on-site communications
- Represent nonprofit partners and client brands in a professional, engaging manner
- Collaborate with event marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging
- Gather public feedback and insights to support campaign improvement
- Participate in training focused on public speaking, communication strategy, and leadership
