About The Position

We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Public Relations & Communications Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in community outreach, event-based PR, and nonprofit communications. You’ll work directly with our clients to help build awareness, engage communities, and support live events. No prior experience is required—we provide paid training, mentorship, and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Passionate about public relations, communications, and community engagement
  • Outgoing, friendly, and confident in face-to-face interactions
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced event environment
  • Team player but able to work independently
  • 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Available for weekends and evening events

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients at community events, fundraisers, and outreach campaigns
  • Engage with the public to share information, promote initiatives, and inspire participation
  • Assist with event setup, registration, and logistics
  • Help create and distribute on-site communications, promotional materials, and messaging
  • Track attendance, engagement, and community interactions
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging and successful event execution
  • Participate in training and professional development workshops
