Reporting to the Director of Adult Public Programs, the Public Programs Specialist is responsible for working collaboratively with curators and colleagues across the Education department to develop and implement programs and written materials related to exhibitions and the museum’s permanent collection. The Public Programs Specialist will partner with internal departments and colleagues to conceptualize and implement innovative and timely public programming content and logistics to ensure successful events that engage diverse audiences. The candidate will also work closely with other departmental staff and their supervisor to conduct meaningful assessments of public programs, drawing on quantitative data and qualitative feedback from program stakeholders, participants, and attendees. Responsibilities also include providing general administrative support and processing payments to speakers and vendors for the public programs department.
