The Public Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Division (PPR) works to strengthen UNICEF’s position as a partner of choice for children’s rights among governments, inter-governmental actors and the broader public sector around the world. The Division is doing this by positioning children’s rights in the governmental and multilateral for a and engaging with governments and public institutions as resource, policy and programme partners.
Requirements
- Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Social Science, Political science, International Relations, Public Policy, Public Administration, Communications, International Development, Economics and any other related fields. A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in a relevant area combined with 2 additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in partnerships, government relations, public sector partnerships, legislative affairs, external relations, stakeholder engagement, political analysis and any other related fields, liaising with the US Government, and specifically with the Legislative Branch.
- Experience in supporting strategic engagement with U.S. government and other partners
- Experience in formulating advice for Management, including by gathering relevant and preemptive insights
- Experience in policy advocacy
- Experience in strategies for engagement and the development of communications products
- Experience in supporting the planning, coordination, and organization of advocacy events
- Fluency in English is required.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
- Experience in congressional liaison, bipartisan engagement, think tanks, engaging diplomatic community and resource mobilization.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
