The Tycko & Zavareei LLP Public Interest Fellowship is a two-year post-JD program for recent law school graduates who are passionate about public interest work, have experience in impactful litigation, and are enthusiastic about challenging societal inequities. The fellowship begins in September 2027 and is located in Washington, D.C. Fellows function as junior associates, gaining hands-on experience, instruction, and mentorship in all facets of public interest litigation. They receive extensive training and support from senior attorneys and are entrusted with significant responsibility. A unique feature is a three-month nonprofit placement, typically in the second year, where fellows work externally as Visiting Fellows with a chosen public interest host organization. Past host organizations include Human Rights First, National Women's Law Center, Bread for the City, National Consumer Law Center, Public Justice, Tzedek DC, and Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs.
