We are seeking a highly-motivated person who will work closely with Stantec’s leadership on the outreach and delivery of the I-526 Lowcountry Corridor projects. The position's qualifications include the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additionally, a successful candidate must possess strong presentation skills to lead public involvement and outreach programs, as well as strong project and program management expertise. An understanding of corridor-level planning and project development under both state and federal environmental laws and programs is also required.

Requirements

• Managing various aspects of public involvement program for I-526 Lowcountry Corridor Project.
• Experience in successful public engagement programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to lead a public involvement team on multiple assignments
• Strong client interaction and professional relationship-building skills
• Team player and positive, cooperative attitude
• A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Nice To Haves

• An understanding of corridor-level planning and project development under both state and federal environmental laws and programs is also required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the Project Office
• Implement the communication plan for I-526 Lowcountry Corridor Projects
• Build relationships with stakeholders, community members, and project resources
• Coordinate with various consultants and contractors responsible for delivering services for I-526 Lowcountry Corridor Projects
• Assist in the design of public-facing materials
• Provide summaries of events hosted at the Project Office
• Organize comments received during office operations and track responses
• Ensure processes and client preferences are followed
