About The Position

This role is for a Remote/Local Public Health Program/Project Coordinator with experience in grants, public service announcements, social media, and maternal studies. The position is located at Andrew Johnson Tower in Dickson, Tennessee (TN DOH) and is for a duration of 12 months. The coordinator will manage grant activities, implement evidence-based interventions, collaborate on communication materials, assist in reviewing maternal violent deaths, and disseminate project results.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree
  • Experience equivalent to substantial (five or more years of) fulltime increasingly responsible professional health program work
  • At least two years of full-time supervisory work or statewide program oversite.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the grant activities, contracts, reports and budget for the Maternal Deaths and Violence Grant
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes and reduce deaths among pregnant and post-partum women due to violence
  • Collaborate with the TDH Office of Communications to develop and broadcast public service announcements, social media messages, and fact sheets specific to maternal deaths and violence
  • Assist with reviewing maternal violent deaths by participating in review meetings and developing contacts with facilities and organizations as needed
  • Disseminate project results to internal and external partners
