About The Position

This is a temporary position at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. The role involves applying public health principles to analyze, develop, implement, and promote strategies to address public health issues. Responsibilities include providing education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and research. The associate will work on programs evaluating public health issues and intervention effectiveness, potentially assisting with clinical study sites for patient recruitment and data collection. Contributions to proposals, protocols, data analysis plans, reports, manuscripts, and presentations are expected. The role also involves designing and conducting targeted training initiatives and collaborating with external organizations. Specific duties include leading data collection, analysis, and reporting for the Graduate Outcomes and Exit Survey, assisting with CEPH accreditation documents, designing and facilitating focus groups, planning and evaluating community-engaged learning programs (Rollins Earn and Learn, Global Field Experience), managing and evaluating 12Twenty tools (Resume Studio, Calendar), developing marketing and communications materials, creating evaluation plans for programs, and assisting with virtual career events. Additional support may be provided for the RSPH Practicum requirement and the Admissions and Recruitment Team.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in Public Health, a master of science degree in Public Health or Health Education, OR a master's degree in Development Practice OR a master's degree in another field and one year of public health experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, implement, and promote new and creative strategies and solutions to address public health issues and challenges.
  • Provide education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and research to address public health issues.
  • Work with programs or studies designed to evaluate the prevalence or surveillance of public health issues and the effectiveness of targeted interventions.
  • Provide technical assistance to organizations, including presentations, web-based resources, strategies, and educational forums.
  • Work with clinical study sites on patient recruitment and data collection standards.
  • Assist with data collection and data analysis.
  • Contribute to proposals, protocols, data analysis plans, reports, manuscripts, and presentation of study findings.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and conducting targeted training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external organizations to develop action plans and goals.
  • Lead and implement data collection procedures, analysis, and reporting for the Graduate Outcomes and Exit Survey.
  • Collaborate with school partners to ensure the survey meets CEPH accreditation requirements and reporting requirements for ASPPH.
  • Assist with dissemination of survey findings to employers, students, faculty, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in writing required CEPH accreditation documents on behalf of the PASE Center and the Office of Student Affairs.
  • Design and facilitate focus groups and a qualitative study assessing students' curricular and co-curricular experiences.
  • Assist the Associate Director of Career Development with planning, implementing, and evaluating community-engaged learning programs, including the Rollins Earn and Learn (REAL) Program and the Global Field Experience Program.
  • Keep program resources current, hold virtual office hours to support students, and update the public health pre-departure course and REAL Canvas page.
  • Support evaluation of both community-engaged learning programs.
  • Lead implementation and evaluation of 12Twenty tools, including Resume Studio and Calendar features.
  • Maintain and update the 12Twenty system, assist with employer record clean-up, and monitor daily system functionality.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst Team in the Office of Student Affairs as needed.
  • Develop marketing and communications materials for all PASE Center events.
  • Develop an evaluation plan for all PASE Center and Office of Student Affairs programs, initiatives, and services.
  • Assist in implementing virtual career events, including Virtual Career Connections (career fairs), employer information sessions, and public health panels.
  • Assist with administration of the RSPH Practicum requirement, including management of the Experiential Learning Hub and advisement of students on securing a practicum.
  • Assist the Admissions and Recruitment Team, as needed.
