About The Position

The Public Health Planning Manager/Data Analyst leads agency efforts to ensure local public health foundational responsibilities are met. The role manages public health department planning, leads agency data collection and interpretation, supports performance management to improve population health, and serves as the foundational public health grant manager. The position develops and implements the agency performance management system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, epidemiology, statistical sciences, or a closely related field that included coursework in statistical analysis.
• Three to five years of experience in program evaluation, planning, data analysis, or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in public health, health administration, epidemiology, or a related field is highly desired.
• Prior work experience in public health planning and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee foundational public health responsibilities and foundational public health grant reporting.
• Interpret and visualize data.
• Lead performance management and quality improvement.
• Assist the management team with community health planning initiatives, including the community health needs assessment and community health improvement planning process.
• Assist with the Public Health department communications plan.
• Build relationships with community members and partners, and participate in key public health decision-making and community-driven approaches to improve community health.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
