The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is seeking a dynamic Public Health Nurse for its Senior Adult Mental Health (SAMH) Program. This program prioritizes independent living to improve and maintain the quality of life for older adults with mental health needs as well as individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities. We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate professional who utilizes a strength-based approach towards service delivery. The incumbent will join a team of dedicated professionals, including mental health therapists, case managers, Support Coordinators, and psychiatrists who receive ongoing training in evidence-based practices related to aging and developmental disabilities. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring clients are approached, engaged, and cared for in ways that demonstrate competency, sensitivity, and awareness of factors that impact the client experience, including but not limited to: cultural identity, gender, racial and ethnic diversity, religious/spiritual ascription, physical capability, cognitive and literacy levels, sexual orientation, and linguistic needs.
