Requirements
- Must be licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming
- Must have an active driver’s license
- Must be able to travel throughout the State and to national conferences, if requested
- Must be able to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends when the situation requires
- Knowledge of principles of nursing and management processes
- Knowledge of the medical diagnosis and treatment of patient care using nursing diagnosis
- Knowledge of organization, planning and team building
- Knowledge of principles and practices of public health nursing
- Knowledge of human service management to include supervisory techniques, methods and standards
- Bachelor's Degree (typically in Nursing)
- 1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Nurse
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming
- 4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Nurse
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming
- Lift/transfer patients to different positions
- Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs
- Restrain clients for treatments, climb stairs to patient homes, drive long distances

Responsibilities
- Supervise public health nursing programs under the direction of the County Nurse Manager by collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to evaluate program implementation and outcomes
- Ensures high-quality patient care and adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and regulations
- Provides direct patient care to public health clients in the home, office, and community setting
- Provides leadership, training, and direct supervision of nursing staff
- Plans, implements, and evaluates services based on community health needs
- Assists County Nurse Manager with local nursing agency budget
- Collaborates with local and state response coordinators for effective public health preparedness and response
