About The Position

Do you desire to make a difference in your community and be off most evenings and weekends? If so, this is the job for you!! This is a Full-Time Position located at the Ellenton Health Clinic in Ellenton, Georgia. The pay grade/salary is F-$38,897.56, G-$42,703.38. This role involves providing nursing services in a clinic setting and in the community, obtaining health histories, vital signs, weight, and height, performing venipuncture and collection of other lab specimens, delivering culturally competent care, administering immunizations, and providing health and nutrition education. The position may require driving company vehicles and working some evenings and weekends during special events.

Requirements

  • Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college
  • Current Georgia license to practice as an LPN
  • CPR certification
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Must have official transcript prior to start date
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Consent to a motor vehicle record assessment (Points should be less than 10 and/or not negatively impact insurance rates for the agency)
  • Drug screen, criminal background check and immunization records may be required
  • Male applicants between 18 and 26 years of age must present proof of Selective Service Registration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Georgia Registry of Immunization Transactions (GRITS)
  • Experience in planning and organizing projects
  • Previous employment with any state’s Department of Public Health or a County Board of Health
  • Experience working with electronic medical records
  • Bilingual (Fluent in Spanish and English)

Responsibilities

  • Provides outstanding customer service
  • Maintains HIPAA standards related to Privacy and Security
  • Provides nursing services in a clinic setting and in the community
  • Obtains health histories, vital signs, weight, and height
  • Performs venipuncture and collection of other lab specimens as ordered by providers (i.e., urinalysis, pregnancy test, glucose, hemoglobin)
  • Deliver culturally competent care in farmworker and Latino healthcare services
  • Administers immunizations
  • Provides appropriate health and nutrition education
  • Responds to Public Health Emergencies
