As an Engineering Lead within the Network Infrastructure Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our public cloud strategy. You will be part of a Public Cloud team that continues to deliver big by designing and managing the platform that enables the automated deployment of foundational resources globally across multiple public clouds. This foundation enables the business to deploy critical workloads, from building a cloud base High Performance Compute (HPC) platform to run huge risk calculations, enabling Citi to leverage GenAI at scale, all the way to enabling payment solutions, this team is at the forefront of innovation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience technical leader, strong technical skills with a significant experience leading a cloud engineering team.
  • Proven experience leading an engineering team in a complex dynamic corporate environment.
  • Expert level understanding of public cloud network infrastructure services available in AWS and GCP.
  • Expert level understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks in AWS and GCP.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, understanding of best practices relating to configuration including security and orchestration tools for AWS EKS and GCP GKE.
  • Knowledge of network and security theory, including router and firewall operations.
  • Experience of working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines, including working with Terraform, Python and Go.
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate a comprehensive vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the network engineering team, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise technology strategy and business objectives.
  • Work with the team and help develop the engineers technical and soft skills, create developments plans and support team member career aspirations.
  • Develop and maintain system architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Ensure the team follow engineering best practices and industry standards, using modern tooling that enables CI/CD and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure and policy as code.
  • Work with a talented team of cloud network and security engineers and full-stack software developers.
  • Identify and develop automated solutions as part of continual improvement to reduce the time to market of cloud services, enhancing client satisfaction and delivering business value.
  • Collaborate with teams across Citi's technology landscape to ensure alignment between public cloud initiatives and broader business goals.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant standards, policies and regulations, prioritizing the protection of Citi's reputation, clients and assets.
