About The Position

The Canadian Niagara Hotels Group of Companies is seeking Public Area Cleaners to join their team. This role involves responding to guest and inter-departmental requests, maintaining cleanliness in guest washrooms and common areas, and ensuring all public spaces are well-maintained and functional. The position requires attention to detail in tasks such as replacing supplies, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash, checking lighting, straightening furniture, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming carpets.

Requirements

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds without assistance
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
• Replace supplies in guest washroom facilities
• Clean bathrooms
• Remove trash from guest washrooms and common areas
• Check that all lights in the public spaces are working properly and report any that are not the engineering department to be fixed
• Straighten furniture and fixtures
• Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
• Vacuum carpets in common rooms and hallways
• Other duties as assigned.
