About The Position

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of all public areas at The Gant including the Conference Center, lobby, administrative offices and other public areas. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. The Public Area Attendant will provide friendly service to our guest and homeowners.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
  • Available to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a hospitality setting is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all public areas including lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, restaurants, meeting rooms, and pool areas.
  • Daily cleaning of fitness center.
  • Daily cleaning of grill areas and replenishing of pool towels.
  • Perform regular cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal.
  • Ensure public areas are clean and presentable before, during, and after events.
  • Ensure all surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and décor, are clean and well-maintained.
  • Understand proper use of all cleaning chemicals.
  • Off-season projects such as deep cleaning public areas, as assigned.
  • Clean and sanitize public restrooms throughout the day.
  • Replenish restroom supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
  • Report any maintenance or supply issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to guests when approached.
  • Address guest inquiries and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with housekeeping requests such as remaking beds, delivery of cribs, highchairs, or roll-aways.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
  • Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Work closely with other housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with other housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Restock housekeeping closets as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
