About The Position

The Lobby Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the hotel’s lobby and public areas. This role ensures all guest-facing spaces are clean, welcoming, and in accordance with brand and company standards. The Public Area Attendant will service and maintain the cleanliness of all public areas including public and associate restrooms, associate cafeteria, lobby areas, banquet spaces and hotel offices in accordance with brand standards.

Requirements

  • Previous cleaning, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Able to work with little or no supervision
  • Must meet grooming standards
  • Strong attention to detail as it pertains to cleanliness standards
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays and at times overtime depending on business needs
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality environment experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain lobby, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and public areas.
  • Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish surfaces as required.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Maintain cleanliness and restocking of public restrooms.
  • Ensure all furniture, décor, and fixtures in public areas are clean and tidy.
  • Monitor lobby appearance throughout the shift and address issues promptly.
  • Respond to guest requests and provide assistance courteously.
  • Perform special projects as assigned by management.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
