We are seeking a Public Area Attendant who will be responsible for keeping our main lobby and common areas pristine and well-kept. Part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO offers guests a distinctive desert retreat featuring 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, many showcasing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains and palm-lined landscape. Guests can unwind by our resort-style pool and on-site spa, explore the area on complimentary bicycles, and enjoy inspired dining at Larkspur Grill, Lemon Drop Pool Bar or Café Paseo. Located along world-renowned El Paseo, our boutique hotel places guests steps from premier shopping, art galleries, acclaimed restaurants, and vibrant nightlife while serving as the perfect gateway to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. We have opportunities for both full time and part time associates.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning, maintenance, housekeeping or janitorial experienced helpful.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to represent Hotel in a courteous and well-groomed manner.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift, grasp, stretch, and push a cart on a regular basis.
• Ability to use all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
• Physical stamina to complete repetitive manual labor tasks.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and or carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by reacting promptly, effectively and courteously to all requests.
• Report all floor/carpet care needs and repairs to the Housekeeping manager/supervisor.
• Maintain all public and back of the house areas as assigned.
• Maintain all equipment in safe, clean condition.
• Support work efforts of other Housekeeping associates as directed.
• Vacuum, dust, and pick up trash in all assigned areas.
• Clean and re-supply bathrooms, entrance glass, offices, pool, fitness area and restaurants as needed.
