As a communications specialist on our team, you’ll closely impact the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to meet their strategic communications goals and objectives. As a collaborator on all aspects of oral and written communications, you’ll author press releases, fact files, talking points, briefing cards, responses to queries (RTQ), media assessments, public affairs plans, internal messaging, newsletters, and social media content. Your creative-thinking and business-oriented mindset will guide your client to inform key audiences through words, images, and sound with tools like Cision and graphic design tools. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with public affairs, including in the Department of War
  • Knowledge of public affairs policies, guidance, and AP Style Guide
  • Ability to collaborate on numerous campaigns at once, coordinating with multiple stakeholders
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and other graphic design tools
  • Knowledge of military acquisitions
