The purpose of the Publix Technology Services Supervisor position is to provide leadership and direction to the Publix Technology Corporate Support Team for installation and maintenance of IT hardware and software in the Publix corporate and manufacturing environments in compliance with the Publix Strategy Map. This position is also responsible for associate development while managing the team’s performance to the customer service level expectation and related maintenance expenses. Process and procedural improvements are a continual expectation. The areas covered involve all Publix corporate locations and distribution centers. The selected candidate must live in or near Lakeland, Florida or be willing to relocate to this area upon acceptance of position. Location: Onsite (Lakeland, FL) Why Join Us? Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Two years’ experience in an IT leadership (formal/informal) and/or management role
  • Knowledge of IT operations and infrastructure
  • Knowledge of generally accepted IT industry standards
  • Knowledge of service management techniques and performance metrics
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to perform installation and break-fix maintenance on IT equipment
  • Possess a clean and valid driver's license
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, off-hours, and holidays, as required
  • Willing to travel overnight for extended periods when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Business Administration
  • Four years of IT Management experience
  • Knowledge of generally accepted project management practice

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Corporate Support team responsible for the following:
  • Distributing IT equipment and software across our corporate locations for: service, requests, and projects
  • Providing support of hardware and applications for our support associates
  • Manage the team’s hours and performance in accordance with established timelines for the functions they perform
