Pt Tech/Aide
About The Position
Desert Hand and Physical Therapy is hiring a Pt Tech/Aide to support patient care and clinic operations across its locations. The role assists patients with exercises under the supervision of a licensed therapist, prepares and maintains treatment areas and equipment, and helps ensure patient safety and comfort. It also includes administrative duties such as data entry, answering phones, scheduling, and managing patient check-in and check-out. The position may require driving between clinics for coverage and meetings. The company is willing to train candidates interested in medical or rehabilitation fields. All employees must complete a background check.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide kind and compassionate service to patients and employees.
- Follow company policies and procedures, government regulations, and safety and infection-control protocols.
- Comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Assist patients with exercises under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Maintain, set up, and clean treatment areas before and after therapy sessions.
- Prepare therapy equipment and assist with applying modalities in accordance with OT/PT state practice guidelines.
- Escort patients to and from therapy areas as needed while observing patient-safety concerns.
- Monitor and report patient responses to the treating therapist during therapy sessions.
- Maintain therapy-supply inventory and report low stock levels.
- Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, answering phones, scheduling, and patient check-in and check-out.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Manager.
- Drive between clinics for coverage and meetings.
