About The Position

The Program Coordinator for Student Life & Leadership Development at Pocono provides comprehensive administration and operational support while also assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of student engagement initiatives. This role supports departmental functions including financial processing, vendor coordination, and office management, while collaborating with the Director of Student Life & Assistant Director of Student Clubs to deliver on-demand, virtual, and in-person programming/events. The position also contributes to student organization support efforts at the Pocono campus and supervises student staff to ensure efficient daily operations and meaningful student engagement.

Requirements

  • proficient in College standard software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

Nice To Haves

  • two to three years of related experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education/ or pursuing a Master’s Degree in Student Affairs or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support: with specific instructions, using College Standard software, technology and associated peripherals, produce documents from written, oral or electronically produced/transferred materials; Utilize Workday effectively and efficiently to process tasks, enter information and generate reports, among other things; proofread typed materials for accuracy; answer phones and screen calls as required and directed; place routine calls and dispense routine information; greet visitors; maintain files and records according to established procedures; schedule appointments; make travel arrangements; open, organize, and distribute mail; inventory and order office supplies; operate general office equipment, such as copier and fax machine as required; utilize the student engagement software for event, forms, and other administrative tasks that support Student Life.
  • Program Coordination and Event Support: In consultation with the Director of Student Life, assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of on-demand, virtual, and in-person programs and events at the Pocono campus; Provide logistical and administrative support for Student Life programming initiatives; Support event tracking, communication, and follow-up to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Student Engagement & Club Support: Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Student Clubs & Leadership Development on club-related administration and operational tasks; Assist with the processes that support student clubs and leadership initiatives.
  • Direct student assistants: delegate student employees’ responsibilities and work load, where applicable.
  • Implement special responsibilities: as assigned by supervisor.
