This position is in Augusta, GA and does not offer relocation assistance. Must be within a reasonable commuting distance. If relocating to the area, please specify on the application. As a PT PH RN within Richmond County Health Department (Laney Walker and South Augusta), you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Requirements

  • Must possess BSN from accredited University of Nursing
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Worked in clinical setting at least 2 years
  • Ability to work within a EMR
  • Critical thinking skills required
  • Ability to learn procedures/protocols quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Women's Health and Children's Health
  • Immunization administration
  • MAPEP

Responsibilities

  • Work with peers to provide services to women, children and infants within the DPH protocols and guidelines.
  • Administer vaccines via the vaccines schedules and catch up schedules.
  • Provide services to female and male patients, including, but not limited to STD testing, lab draws, breast exams, pap smears and other procedures done by DPH protocols.
  • Complete inventories and medication counts at end of shifts.
  • Work with peers to provide holistic care.
  • All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
