About The Position

As a PT Patient Registration Specialist at Engineered Performance, you will be responsible for greeting patients, the check-in process, scheduling follow-up appointments, answering phones, and assisting Physical Therapists with insurance prior authorization. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and maintaining efficient communication with patients and providers. To thrive in this role, you have a passion for patient well-being, an outgoing personality, and prior experience in a front desk role. This is a full-time (40-hr) opportunity. Engineered Performance is located in Ankeny. This location supports Physical Therapy needs for our patients as well as provides strength and conditioning programs for athletes (high school students, college athletes, and weekend warriors).

Requirements

  • Professionalism when interacting with patients, clients and Physical Therapists.
  • Willingness to have conversations with strangers that become familiar faces to create an uplifting environment for patients.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time while staying organized.
  • Ensures patients receive timely care, promotes a reliable healthcare environment, and supports the overall efficiency of the clinic and team.
  • Prior experience in a front desk role.

  • Providing and obtaining necessary paperwork from patients in preparation for their Physical Therapy appointment.
  • Communicating with patients that may not be pleasant at times, yet are grateful for our guidance and assistance in getting them back to living by scheduling appointments, following up with patients after cancellations, and obtaining payment from patients as needed.
  • Working with insurance companies to obtain authorization for appointments.
