About The Position

The PT Local Sort Supervisor supervises, trains, develops, and holds workgroups responsible for safety, production, and attendance. The supervisor sets and maintains high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety. The role provides effective leadership and cultivates working relationships with personnel throughout the organization.

The position develops relationships with employees, management, and customers; facilitates training; ensures compliance with safety policies and applicable requirements; and manages department resources to maximize output, accuracy, and efficiency. It promotes a positive, team-oriented environment focused on employee involvement, communication, cooperation, and continual improvement. The supervisor also supports employee development through orientation, skills and safety training, materials and information, evaluations, coaching, and personal development plans.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 70 lbs. / 32 kgs.
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities
