The CENTERS team is innovative, entrepreneurial, trail-blazing, and ambitious for both CENTERS and our clients. Today, CENTERS provides management services for 14 clients. Position Summary The Part-Time Intramural Supervisor provides on-site leadership for intramural contests and activities. This working supervisor coordinates officials and game operations, supports rule application and sportsmanship, responds to injuries and incidents, and completes required program documentation within the authority established by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous intramural, officiating, recreation, sport, or related operational experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain within the timeframe established by the employer
  • Ability to learn and interpret multiple sport rules and program procedures
  • Ability to complete required supervisor training before working independently

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lead or supervisory experience in intramural sports, recreation, athletics, or event operations
  • Experience officiating multiple sports
  • Experience responding to injuries, conduct concerns, or game-management issues

Responsibilities

  • Provides on-site supervision for assigned intramural leagues, contests, tournaments, and activity areas
  • Coordinates official and staff assignments, check-in, game timing, equipment, field or court transitions, and schedule adjustments
  • Conducts pre-shift briefings and provides immediate coaching, feedback, and support to officials and other assigned staff
  • Interprets program rules and procedures, resolves routine questions, and manages protests or exceptions within assigned authority
  • Monitors sportsmanship, participant conduct, facility conditions, and staff performance throughout the shift
  • Responds to injuries, emergencies, severe weather, behavioral incidents, and operational disruptions according to established procedures
  • De-escalates participant conflicts and applies established conduct and ejection procedures consistently
  • Completes injury, incident, ejection, protest, shift, equipment, and facility documentation accurately and promptly
  • Inspects playing areas and equipment and communicates hazards, maintenance concerns, and follow-up needs
  • Communicates significant incidents, staffing concerns, unresolved issues, and program feedback to professional staff
  • Supports training, evaluation, and development of intramural officials without conducting formal disciplinary action unless authorized
  • Assists with program setup, breakdown, inventory, special events, and tournament operations
  • Participates in required training, meetings, emergency drills, and evaluations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
