PT Hub Supervisor
About The Position
The PT Hub Supervisor supervises Package Handlers and trains, develops, and holds workgroups accountable for safety, production, and attendance. The supervisor maintains high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety. The role provides effective leadership and builds working relationships with personnel throughout the organization. Shift days may vary; candidates must be willing to work Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday. Flexible shift hours may be required, up to five days per week. The position is permanent.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to five days per week.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
- Management experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure employees follow safety policies and procedures and operate in compliance with department, station, corporate, and OSHA requirements.
- Manage department resources to maximize output, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Establish and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement, proactive communication, interdepartmental cooperation, and continual improvement.
- Implement employee personal development plans as needed to support personnel’s professional growth.
- Ensure department employees receive detailed orientation, skills and safety training, appropriate materials and information, regular evaluations, and proactive coaching.
- Train and develop Package Handlers and hold workgroups accountable for safety, production, and attendance.
