About The Position

If any plant personnel request or require medical attention, the Heat Stress EMT will evaluate the employee and provide care based on the medical indicators. If an employee needs to be removed from the work area the EMT will advise the Crew Leader and monitor the employee in the Heat Stress recovery room. If the employee requires medical treatment or transport to a medical facility the heat stress EMT will notify security for transport. The on duty heat stress EMT will monitor the potline portable radio and respond to any calls for assistance from the water carriers working with them, any crew leader/supervisor or any employee requesting assistance. Pre-use and operate a gas powered UTV. Heat Stress personnel will ensure coolers are stocked with ice and drinks as required throughout the shift. If the cooler is full of water or does not have enough ice to cover the drinks, then the water carrier shall replenish the cooler with ice and drinks as needed. Heat Stress personnel will provide snacks (pickles, crackers, peanuts, chex mix, fruit, etc..) as needed throughout the shift. If all coolers are stocked the heat stress personnel will assist with housekeeping in the upper courtyards by picking up empty plastic bottles and paper only.

Requirements

Must be certified EMR, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic. Certification documents must be provided, all levels accepted.
Willing and able to work 12 hour shifts (8:00AM-8:00PM, 8:00PM- 8:00 AM)
