About The Position
This posting is for a pooled position. Application submissions for “[ POOL ]” positions are accepted on an ongoing basis to ensure a continuous and ready pool of qualified candidates for immediate review when the need arises. If/when a position becomes available, the College will review applications from this pool, and interview candidates whose qualifications best match the specific opening. Applicants must reapply to the pool annually to maintain their active status in the pool. This pool has been established to accept applications for possible openings for part-time instructors that may arise throughout the year. The Physical Sciences Department at LBCC offers a wide range of courses including general science, astronomy, science, technology & society, chemistry for health occupations, general chemistry, organic chemistry, algebra-based physics, and calculus-based physics. The physics instructor develops, plans, and presents organized lectures, laboratory activities, and out of class assignments in accordance with approved course outlines.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Physics or related field.
Nice To Haves
- Previous teaching experience at the community college level.
