About The Position

Assist with coordinating and administering all standardized testing necessary for Academic and Career, including migration to, TABE, HiSet, and GED. Ensures accurate and timely reporting of post-testing data. Collecting and entering student data to include LEIS records, attendance, and closeout.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Informational Technology, Education or a closely related field.
  • At least six months experience in administrative, training, or testing or college-level coursework in those fields.
  • Not be involved in high school equivalency instruction.
  • Six months experience in a postsecondary environment, preferably in Basic Skills.
  • Specific experience with ADVANSYS, Colleague software and student record management.
  • Experience working with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of students.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Report complex data and research findings based on the knowledge level and needs of the audience of the information
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to use effective critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to retrieve data from student information systems.
  • Proficient in Computer programs: Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Colleague.
  • Knowledge of modern office equipment including computers and printers.

Responsibilities

  • Administers all standardized testing including, but not limited to: TABE, HiSET, GED and ACT Work keys.
  • Ensures updates for computer-based testing are immediately installed.
  • Maintains testing security and confidentiality of all standardized exams in compliance with federal, state and publisher guidelines
  • Schedules and places students in classes while maintaining accurate data reports of current class sizes and enrollment numbers.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service and excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Perform routine correspondence with returning students, area businesses, and non-profit organizations.
