About The Position

The Psychotherapist will develop, implement, and evaluate patient care according to identified needs. This role involves managing clients in crisis using appropriate therapeutic skills and assessment techniques. The Psychotherapist will write appropriate treatment and discharge plans based on patient diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation, and will follow through with the termination process. Collaboration with guardians and community agencies is essential for effective service delivery. The position requires completing patient care assignments with attention to detail and accuracy, including timely and accurate documentation of patient care/response in the medical record and completing accurate and timely billing information. The Psychotherapist will also design, plan, and implement effective patient education and maintain open lines of communication, collaborating with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school of graduate education required.
  • Full licensure in applicable state required.
  • 2 years clinical experience required.
  • CPI and CPR training required for psychotherapist working in inpatient psychiatric setting.
