About The Position

One Love Agency is seeking a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist (PSR) to join their Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient program in Utah. The role focuses on helping adults in recovery develop and strengthen practical skills for independence and a life beyond substance use. This is a hands-on, goal-focused position where the specialist teaches, models, and reinforces skills to support clients in their recovery journey. The agency emphasizes a community-oriented approach, working collaboratively with a diverse team to provide holistic care.

Requirements

  • Meet an approved Utah Medicaid provider qualification pathway, which may include: a Utah Licensed Social Service Worker (SSW), an individual with a qualifying bachelor’s degree actively working toward Utah SSW licensure, a qualified Utah Substance Use Disorder Counselor with an applicable Utah credential, or an appropriately trained individual who completes required Utah Medicaid PRS training and works under qualified supervision.
  • All PSR staff must work under the supervision required by their credential and applicable Utah Medicaid requirements.
  • Individuals hired through the trained individual pathway must complete required PRS training within the applicable Utah Medicaid timeframe.
  • Have an understanding of substance use disorders, recovery, relapse prevention, and the barriers individuals may experience while rebuilding their lives.
  • Be able to teach and reinforce skills in a practical, patient, and encouraging way.
  • Have strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Maintain healthy professional boundaries and respect client choice and independence.
  • Be dependable and able to manage an assigned schedule and caseload.
  • Be able to complete timely and accurate electronic documentation.
  • Meet One Love credentialing, background screening, training, and applicable payer requirements.
  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community based services as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, psychosocial rehabilitation, skills development, case management, community based services, or human services is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group psychosocial rehabilitative services connected to each client's treatment plan.
  • Teach, model, practice, cue, and reinforce practical skills that support recovery and everyday functioning.
  • Help clients strengthen coping, communication, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, and daily living skills.
  • Support the development of healthy routines and recovery focused skills.
  • Help clients identify barriers to recovery and break larger goals into achievable steps.
  • Practice skills with clients in office and community settings when appropriate.
  • Support clients as they move through IOP, OP, and toward greater independence in the community.
  • Collaborate with therapists, SUD counselors, peer support specialists, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Recognize and promptly communicate relapse risks, safety concerns, or significant changes to the appropriate clinical team member.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation showing the goal addressed, skill practiced, client response, progress, and next steps.
  • Participate in required supervision, training, and professional development.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
