Psychometrist - Full-Time
About The Position
The Psychometrist under direct supervision of a Neuropsychologist, administers and scores a number of psychological/neuropsychological tests. escorts patients to and from testing area, completes files of test data for transfer to neuropsychologist, and maintains supply of test materials. Requirements
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
- Minimum of three to six months’ of on the job training and experience to become familiar with tests, equipment and proper methods of administration and scoring.
- Interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with patients, families, psychologists and organizational administrators.
- Analytic skills to exercise good judgment and problem-solving in delivery of clinical service.
- Knowledge and application of general professional skills for attention to detail, accountability and follow through, flexibility and adaptability to changing work requirements.

Responsibilities
- Administers a variety of psychological and neuropsychological tests as directed by supervising neuropsychologist.
- Uses judgment during testing sessions to modify types of measures and administration to assure valid and reliable results.
- Develops rapport for valid test administration.
- Explains and assists patients in methods and techniques necessary for completion of tests.
- Assures patient safety in all aspects of service delivery.
- Performs computerized and/or manual scoring of all tests given, including use of judgment according to scoring guidelines for qualitative, subjective test responses.
- Provides detailed description of patient’s behavior during testing
- Creates files for test data, including data summary sheets and delivers to supervising/ordering neuropsychologist in a timely manner
- Maintains inventory of test materials and requests new forms and supplies as needed; assists in anticipating needs according to use for budget planning
- Completes time limited projects as requested by neuropsychologists, such as testing research, developing disability accommodations for test equipment, procedures.
- Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of SRALab.
