About The Position

Under the supervision of licensed psychologists, administer psychological/neuropsychological tests to pediatric and adult patients; accurately score and organize test materials; write detailed behavioral observations; participate in training initiatives; take on administrative responsibilities as assigned by supervisors and the Lead Psychometrist. Candidates must be eligible for independent licensure as a Certified Psychological Assistant [CPA] in the State of Tennessee.

Requirements

Master’s degree in psychology, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university
Completion of necessary coursework to be license eligible in TN
Completion of a supervised practicum in psychological assessment totaling a minimum of 300 clinical hours.

Responsibilities

Administers and scores psychological and neuropsychological tests to pediatric and adult patients.
Gives paper and pencil tests or utilize neuropsychological instruments that access memory learning, and problem solving ability, speed, strength, coordination, hearing, touch and/or vision.
Accurately score, organize, and protect test materials.
Score measures given as part of assessment batteries.
Write detailed behavioral observations for each patient.
Participate in training activities; support and assist in training Vanderbilt Health students and trainees.
May include allowing approved observations or working more directly with psychology trainees on assessment skills.
