About The Position

The Neuropsychometrist administers and scores neuropsychological test batteries evaluating the intellectual, neurocognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional status of patients presenting with a variety of neurological conditions, along with medical and psychiatric comorbidities.

Requirements

  • Must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with staff and patients presenting a wide range of neurological, medical and psychiatric conditions.
  • Must be prepared to manage behavioral/emotional situations arising during the assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • NAP (National Association of Psychometrists) certification preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with psychological testing administration and scoring is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and administers neuropsychological testing in various formats, to include paper and pencil and electronic bases assessments under standard conditions.
  • Explains testing procedures and objectives to patients, and works with patients to facilitate compliance with protocol and procedures and to ensure appropriate test completion.
  • Provide a written summary of the patient’s behavior during testing, including any interactions with the patient’s family that may be observed incidentally.
  • Ensures confidentiality of test results and recommendations.
  • Maintains security of testing materials.
  • Assists with research projects and data management.
  • Participates in educational opportunities such as conferences and seminars both inside and outside of the network.
