About The Position

This internship offers hands-on experience working with adults with severe mental illness who are receiving psychiatric stabilization services at our Residential Crisis program. Interns will work directly with individuals served, supporting case managers and direct-care staff in providing stabilization services and learning how to address client needs in a crisis setting. Training and experience will include case management, treatment planning, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and facilitating therapeutic groups alongside staff. This opportunity provides a comprehensive view of community mental health care, focusing on building practical skills while making a direct impact in the lives of those in recovery.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate at Towson University
  • Majoring in psychology or a similar human services pathway
  • Willingness to learn and engage
  • Ability to complete 120 hours
  • Availability for 16-24 hours a week

Responsibilities
