About The Position

Clinical Psychology Fellows will spend 1-2 years receiving specialized training in clinical psychology. They are expected to carry a client caseload which includes the provision of individual therapy, care coordination, and entering progress notes; develop, plan, and facilitate group therapy; develop and implement a program evaluation project. Rotations will be based at various sites affiliated with the Massachusetts Mental Health Center (MMHC) and in Outpatient Psychiatry at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). Clinical Psychology Fellows will also be expected to provide supervision to clinical psychology practicum students. Fellows will attend didactic offerings including grand rounds at MMHC and BIDMC. They will receive two hours of supervision per week, one of which will be from a licensed clinician at their assigned rotation. They will have some time (approximately 1 day/week) to engage in independent research or teaching that is related to their clinical service. They will receive annual progress evaluations.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) required in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
  • Completion of an APA accredited psychology internship program.
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications, Microsoft Office Applications, and statistical and data capture programs.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate in English, moderately complex verbal information to internal consumers (colleagues) and external consumers (clients).
  • Ability to summarize and communicate in English, moderately complex written information to internal consumers (colleagues) and external consumers (clients).
